Do Bananas need a plastic bag?

People putting bananas in plastic bags for no reason is one of the best examples of how we're using plastic without giving it any thought. I know I use too much, but I am trying hard to reduce my own output of waste.

Is this the best account to bring this up on? We all want to showcase products and services and give them centre stage in our social activities. However, there are upsides to exploring impactful content that extends past simple commercial intentions.

In this post, we're steering away from the typical product-centric narrative to share a thought-provoking concept. It's a reminder that not every post needs to be a sales pitch; sometimes, it's about fostering connections, sparking conversations - and, in this case, playing with design and animation too. It's ok to share what you do in the posts but within context.

Do you think that when Woolworths, BP or Lend Lease sponsor someone like OZ Harvest, it is purely out of the goodness of their heart? No, but it's a great use of marketing money, and we know that sponsorship gets their logo sitting where they'd get value out of it.

Social impact is a normal part of marketing, but you know it will work better for you if it comes from the heart - and I'm bugged enough about plastic waste to spend the time to make an animation in the hope it will get shared and raise a tiny bit of awareness.

This isn't just a post about bananas and plastic bags; it's sharing a concept that can generate engagement, ignite discussions, reinforce brand values and make the right kind of difference.
